Dry Blood is about a man named Brian who, in a bad attempt to kick a drug habit, heads to his mountain home to clean up. Shortly after arriving, he meets the local cop who suspects him of no good. An old female friend of his, Anna, comes up to support him in this, and a fun appearance by Rob G as the loca store clerk.
This movie was truly an exercise in patience for me. I’m a supporter of Indy film for sure, but man, this was bad. Fortunately it has a totally bonkers third act to make up for the first two acts.
It’s slow, poorly acted, bad sound design, poorly filmed. But that nutty third act is made even better by the bad acting. Not even really the third act. It’s just the last 10 minutes. I really don’t even want to say anything, because if someone can make it through the movie, I don’t want to spoil anything. You’ll see what I mean.
With all I said though about you having to see the third act: I still can’t recommend it. It’s bad. I’m glad I watched it, and encourage them to make more movies because I want more of all movies. But man…
